We’re married; thanks to God everything turned of alright, a lot better than we expected. There were a lot of awesome people that God sent to help. You know? God is really faithful to do all that he tells us, all His promises. He promises us; to have each other, to provide for us, to give us a plan for our lives, and to send us to the Nations (into all the World). He never forgets his word.

Have you ever heard this song?

Jesus you are my good friend

you are not alone,

nothing will ever change that… (From Hillsong)

So, nothing can change his plans in our lives, we can forget his word, you can forget his promises, and to do all the things He told you, however HE will NEVER change. Don’t be afraid about; the time, the money, the problems, etc… His plans are good, and are better then anything else you could plan, and they are for ever. His plans are not for just a moment, but they are like marriage, we are married with Him for all our lives, physically and spiritually. We are his creation with a special purpose so enjoy it.

We’re anxious to see and live out His plans for us, we are waiting to see what those plans are and to see what He will do, this our Creator. We’re really gratefully to be a part of his plans, we can see in His purpose in us and everything we do.

Thanks’ for you’re prayers, gifts and economical help.

The Start of Spring 2008

And time flies,

We have been very busy these last few days and weeks. About three weeks ago we started looking for various ministries, organizations, agencies, and churches to help in the exhortation, and capitation of missions and at the same time to help promote the Christian University in San Luis Potosi.

We had an invitation to speak at a YWAM base in Pachuca for the 5th and 6th of this month, and with out doubt we made new friends and more contacts. We asked one of the students in the University (Patty) to go with us, so we would not be alone. What we didn’t know was that she had a sister about two hours down the road in the city of Querétaro and that their big brother was getting married so instead of one person going with us we also had her sister and two cute little boys go with us. Which helped with our coasts on the road. We were also able to go to the civil wedding of the family and past some time with everyone. It was a great time and we were able to make new friends.

From there we went directly to Pachuca, it took a little extra time being as none of us had ever been there before, and we were taking our time so as not to get lost, anyway we did end up getting lost a little but we made it safe and sound. It was a great blessing to serve at the YWAM , and to teach the youth from various churches to complete the Great Commission. On getting back to San Luis we found that we had more emails wanting us to go and teach in there churches. It will also enable us to visit new places and different states here in Mexico. We have loved being able to share what God has put in our hearts and our passion for missions.

Travel, Travel, Travel,

Along with everything else we had been asked by the youth pastor to to help with a trip to Zacatecas to help an orphanage. On the start of the next day both the youth pastor and one of the main leaders were both very sick, they both needed to stay and rest so they were not able to return to San Luis (which was four hours away.) We were asked to take the youth back to San Luis. Since that day the youth pastor has made it a point to invite us to all the youth events, he has also asked us to be leaders in the youth group. On the 30th of April is the day of the child, it’s a holiday for children. We are hoping to get a team together to return to the orphanage to have a big, BIG party for the kids!

With all of the trips we have made we have been a little tired physically and financially, without doubt every time we are able to share we are blessed and our souls are lifted which makes us want to teach and do more. From April to June we will be traveling to many different many places, Zacatecas, Querétaro, México, Puebla, Monterrey, Pachuca, Tampico, Tamuin, DF, Torreón, Oaxaca y Chiapas, working with the youth in exhorting, and teaching in different Missions conferences.

PRAY:

That God would guard us in all of our trips, and that He would continue to provide for each of our needs that we may have during the trips we have planed to each state and city, also that God would guard our health.

For our Wedding in the first part of Fall, that God would provide for all of our needs and that He would guide us in our marriage.

Also that God would give us a heart that longs to hear His voice, and that He would go before us and prepare the way.

Serving Together,
Jimmie & Sahara

Feb. newsletter

Thank you for your prayers,

They have been a real blessing. Personally there have been many changes until now, a change in location, also a huge change in culture. I would never have thought that the culture could change so much. Things like words what they mean, actions, and education changes everything. Think about it when you come to visit.

The language is the same as Honduras as to the fact that it is Spanish, however it is hugely different. In San Luis Potosi about 80% of the populous are people that have a higher level of education most have some college, if not college degrees. Thus the vocabulary is at a higher level, it is more professional then the normal vocabulary of Yamaranguila, once again I find myself learning the language all over again. I have had the opportunity during this short time to identify some differences in the culture and to learn some of them, in learning the culture it will enable me to be able to understand and better serve the people of Mexico.

I have the privilege to be working with people that have had many different backgrounds in ministry. Some are from Germany others from the US and others from here in Mexico. We make a group that is very interesting, everyone has a different personality and different talents that enables us to make a complete body.

The church here Agua Viva (Living Water) has received me with open arms. The pastors actually know some of my California family and they have been very kind. God has given me a lot of favor with the church here. On the 27th of January I started singing with the Praise team. The church has two services, one at 8:30 AM for the foreigners that speak English, some are misionaries, others work for various copanies that are here in the city, it is also a way that the no-christian foregners can be reached. The other service at 11:00 AM is for the Spanish speaking people.

The greatest thing that could happen to a man!

Sahara and I are planning our future together! The 14th of February I told her that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, then I asked her if she wanted to do the same? After the emotional shock of seeing the ring and hearing the question she responded YES!!! Now we are planning a wedding and trying to get all the information and paperwork that we need so we will be able to be married. Please pray for us, because the next few months to come we are making decisions for our life together and God’s ministry through us. Over the next few months we will be having extra expenses; things like a trip to an indigenous group, among other missions trips, the wedding, also extra costs due to paperwork that has to be done to get married, as well as just the normal monthly expenses. God is calling us and it is time to expand our ministry. We know without a doubt that this is the will of God for our lives. God is speaking with us and calling us to serve in specific areas in missions.

Pray for Us:

God has promised us that we would have everything we need, in the time that we need it, and we have a God that completes His promises.

As Always for Financial needs.

In peace we wait with confidence for the provision of God. For He is Jehovah Jireh our Provider.

That God would give us grace with the people we work with and that we would be His instrument that He has called His hands and feet.

Thank you for all of your support, I would love for you to write me and let me know how you are and what God is doing in your lives.

Serving Together,
Jimmie & Sahara

As many of you know I have just made a long 36 hour drive from Honduras to Mexico. During this long drive I was greatly greeted by many beautiful sights. Leaving from the colonial town of Copan Ruinas, passing all the way though Guatemala and all the way to the mid north of Mexico. On the road I found so many different places and sights. From a town with cobble stone roads to the highway, from places where you wonder if anyone has ever lived there to the desert or the lakes. From the land of the Mayan to the land of the Aztecs, the sights changed every time you blinked. To see wonderful mountain views flowers the sun rising and setting the same day. I ask that you close your eyes and think on these. Then I have to ask the big question of WHY? Why did God make all of these things? Why did he make the mountains? Why did God make millions of different types of flowers, trees, animals, fruit, and foods? Why? The only reason that I can think of or find in scripture is that it’s all for LOVE. He loves us sooooo much that He made a mandarin to eat while smelling it and all just to enjoy it. He loves us!!!! Sometimes we wonder does anyone love me, and again the answer is an emphatic YES! He does! He loves us so much that He gave His only son! John 3:16 The scripture refers to Jesus as not only the only one and true way to God but as our bride. As well as it also refers to God himself as our lover! So you know that this God thing is not anything that is just going to pass by and be gone. That he longs for a relationship with us. Driving along the highway and seeing all the beautiful sights that he created just so I would stop and say wow! How much my God loves me that he made all of these things just so I would be happy! All I can say is thank you God and I love you! Please remember to stop and take the time to enjoy the things God has made for us to take pleasure in. Tell Him thank you and how much you love him.

For the next four months I will be working in a discipleship school in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Seeing all of my family gathered around him helped not only show me how he has impacted my life but made me think of the upbringing of my father, aunts, and uncles. How each of them are serving God in their own way. There has not passed a morning in my childhood and still today that I have seen my grandfather spend time in the word. I remember waking up those mornings that I stayed with them to find him already half way through his day and taking time to read the word and better understand Christ. I now see the fact that had it not been for him I would not be what and who I am. So in this I wanted to thank him for everything he has done.

Going back to Honduras, I want to share the new projects our ministry has taken on. The projects have all been aimed at one place: “The Invasion”.“The Invasion” is a plot of land where some people had gotten together and decided that the owner was not using it so they invaded it! However these people are the one’s that had no homes that were renting and or did not have the monthly income to rent. Thus the standard of living is very poor. As you can see here; one of the normal houses found in the invasion, this is Jimmy’s house. Jimmy is a three year old boy that has three older sisters plus his mom that lives there. On arriving to the “invasion” we met Jimmy he seemed to be the same as any other carefree three year old, however just lacking the influence and love of a man. He started talking to me asking all kinds of questions, were we coming to live with them, did we have toys, how old was I, did I have kids, just about anything you could think that an inquisitive three year old boy would ask. We told him that we were there to build him a new house. He got all excited and started helping move rocks and just about anything he could think of to help. Talking with Jimmy I found out many things, like how the family struggled daily trying to feed them selves to if they were cold at night. (Right now, just like it’s winter here it is there too.) Just to see the look in Jimmy’s eyes when I would stop and talk with him it was well worth it. To see his little eye bright up to the fact that a man was spending time with him and putting importance on the things that he liked, every time I go out to the invasion I play with Jimmy. I may be selfish in doing it just to see his little face and eyes but you know I keep thinking to our heavenly father. To think how much he just wants to spend time with us. How much of a joy it is to him that we would stop and talk to him, to say daddy I need you, daddy I need help, daddy I love you! What it means to Christ that has been waiting for his bride for more then two thousand years. Waiting for us no matter what we do.

The Bride of Christ!

In the book of Revelation there are many different scriptures referring to the bride of Christ. As I was talking to my sister the other day, I was telling her how I had planed to be in Mexico with Sahara (my girlfriend) these three months (my trip has been postponed until the end of Jan.) It has been a little hard for me. I miss her very much. As I was telling my sister this she said she had just had a vision about the bride of Christ. That how much more was Christ longing or missing his bride. I told her that for the first time in my life I can understand the aspect of the bride of Christ. I know how much I miss my love and thinking about it.

Rev. 5 As a young man marries a maiden,

so will your sons [c] marry you;

as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride,

so will your God rejoice over you.

How much more is Christ missing us as His bride? How much is He longing for that day to come that He will return for His lost bride? I heard my sister say those words but I was seeing something else. What I saw was Christ standing in front of his bride, and talking to her, waving at her, and trying everything he could to get her attention. However he tried she never reacted or even saw him, but more so I felt that she was ignoring him. I then realized how many people all over the world had heard God’s word, the gift of His Son and NEVER responded. How many people may have even looked at Him with out understanding and chose not to acknowledge Him. It’s sad when you think about it. I have many friends that are and have been in the mission that have given their time, work, prayers, money, and their lives breath to see that the world is reached. I know that for many it seems that it is a loosing battle, that they are never blessed in seeing the fruit of their labors. However I can tell each and everyone of them to hold strong, fight the good fight, and to carry on. If Christ can stand there for thousands of years waiting for His bride, how much more can we work and wait for those around us for the little time we have to wait, the year or to thirty years to see the fruits of our labors. It is hard and at times seems a great trail. However there is great hope for all of us.

Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
James 1:12

I can only Hope for mine.

I met her last year when my dad and Lifesource took a trip to Mexico, to work with Ted Flynn. My dad had called in the Dec. before to tell me where and what they were going to do, so he invited me to go, and he would pay. So I said yea I’ll go. Well so the first Sunday there I met her in the church. So dad was praying over her and wanted me to translate, and then after he wanted to talk to her more. So I had to translate, well he only talked like 10min. then it was my turn... we talked for like 40 min... Then, a week latter that next Sunday. She asked if I could go out with all the college age kids because it was one of the girl’s birthdays. So we sent like nine hours hanging out and getting to know one another. The next day I had to leave... waaaaaaaaa this was all last year in one trip.soooooooooooo from then till this year we have been talking with messenger and the like almost everyday..

However in Sept. of last year God was telling me that she was the one, well you know me that wasn't enough.. So we talked and took about a month off from communicating so that we could know from God for sure. So when we started talking again it just wasn't time yet... however we both knew that it was right. SO this year in Mexico I had breakfast with her whole family the morning after getting to Mexico. The she went with the whole team to the mountains where we were to be working, after several long conversations on Sat. and Sun. well Monday morning about 1:30am she said that yes she would be my girlfriend. However she then told me that I still had to ask her parents permission.... ouch... not really. Her folks couldn't be happier... anyway, she is awesome, not just beautiful outside but inside as well. She is a worshiper and prayer, is wonderful with kids, and wow. What else she has worked with Witclif translating and making a dictionary and translating the Bible into shit-ui an Indian language in Mexico. Has a B.A. in Theology. A graduate of a missions program similar to Ywam, just with out the strong outreaches... Anyway she is 23 and wonderful. Tell me if you can think of anything else you might want to know...

God has really been moving and working in the lives of the youth here. For the last few months the youth are entering into worship every week, not only are they worshiping they are starting to really listen to God and the different people who have been sharing. It has been really awesome. You can not imagine the great talks, before and after the youth meetings and in small groups.

This past week a very good friend was here. Pastor Steve Sizemore, he talked about the blessings of the first born. The story about Jacob and Esau, how Jacob tricked not only his brother but his father into giving him his brother’s birthright and the blessing of the first born from his father. He then proceeded to talk about the father’s blessings to the first born. WOW, at that time he prayed and then gave a blessing over all of the youth.

Many times I have talked about the different problems facing the youth here. Please continue to pray for the youth here and everything that happens to them daily.

Wow!!! SO can I say that what an honor it was to see and be a part of several of our youth's baptisms. This past week we had seven of the youth made this awesome and wonderful statement of faith.

The though behind baptism to me is two fold; one it is making a public statement that “LOOK HERE I AM A CHRISTIAN, AND NOW YOU KNOW IT,” Two it is the next step to the wonderful and great relationship with God.

You must know how important baptism is. I really do not understand all of it. However I know that it must be hugely important. For in Acts 8: 26-39. God sends Philip to the desert just to find the eunuch just to baptize him.

26 Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, "Go south to the road--the desert road--that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza." 27 So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eunuch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of Candace, queen of the Ethiopians. This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, 28 and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the book of Isaiah the prophet. 29 The Spirit told Philip, "Go to that chariot and stay near it." 30 Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. "Do you understand what you are reading?" Philip asked. 31 "How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?" So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. 32 The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture: "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, so he did not open his mouth. 33 In his humiliation he was deprived of justice. Who can speak of his descendants? For his life was taken from the earth." 34 The eunuch asked Philip, "Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?" 35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. 36 As they traveled along the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water. Why shouldn't I be baptized?" 38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water and Philip baptized him. 39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. 40 Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.

Like I said there are principles here that I my never understand.

This past Monday was father's day here in Honduras. As some of you know do to the audacity of the men here there are few men and provide and help their family, due to the fact that each man has two if not three different women that he has (families) by.

In the Second girl in front from left is Pauola, next to her is Santos Manuel, two of our students. Thus about two weeks ago I have a couple of our students ask me to go and be their (father). On arriving I was introduced to several classmates as their father. It was so funny looking into the faces of the classmate for they were shocked. What a white dad??? After greeting some of the teachers that I know the program started. Each class had their own drama, dance, or song. The first two were songs that made my heart long for these youth. The songs were pleading for the fathers to return home to leave the other woman, drugs, or drunkenness. There was then a drama about the prodigal son returning home (well a more modern version). Next was a drama about accepting your children as they are. As I looked around I saw that out of around two fifty students there were only twenty fathers present, not including the fact that I was representing the seven students we have at that school. Man what would you do? I guess my question is what are you doing to confront this? Because this is not just a problem here however the difference is that the United States is not totally the same way. If nothing is done soon the United States will become the same way. This is the basis of our scholarship program to see these youth men and women changed. So that the girls would have the ability to step out and no have to rely on the bum types that are so common, that ability being the schooling to have and hold a good job. For the boys it is to show them not only the word of God but to give them a mentorship with a man, also to teach them how to treat women.

WOW!!! This past month has been awesome!!! I took a team of nationals to the mountains where our ministry has been working for several years. The team was from a group called Teen Mission. Every Jan. they have a camp for youth. At the start of the camp they are all together for three weeks; then they are sent out to for two weeks of evangelism. Part of the reason that they came to our area was to go to the mountains to help us do evangelism there. Shortly after we got to a small community named Agua Caliente a friend walked up and started talking to Jorge (our pastor in the mountains) and I he told us that in a different community where he is from there were thirteen people that wanted to be baptized. Plus there was an invalid that had asked if we could come and pray for him. As God had planed it we had with us another Pastor with us named Ramon, also a young woman named Lillian that had just graduated from Teen Mission’s Bible Program. Jorge is the man in the water with the gray shirt; Ramon is in the burgundy shirt; Lillian is in the green. It was so neat to see the things that we have been praying for, to see the mountains becoming alive with God and his children. WOW!!! In that trip there were thirteen baptized and about twelve the came to Christ.

One of the most fun things this Christmas was this gingerbread house. One night at about 9 pm I told my mom how i would like for her and I to make one. She told me ok do it. Thus I started not knowing that the cookie alone would take like three hours to bake. Around midnight with me half laying on the counter sleeping my kind mom sent me to bed as she put the last pan of cookie in the oven. Well due to my busy schedule when I'm home it was about three weeks later when i got back to it. Making the icing and then trying around four time to get the walls to stay up long enough for the icing to dry (ahhhhh how frustrating). Then came the fun part of decorating the house (and I got to eat a bunch of candy to boot.) So for Christmas we now had a gingerbread house... How fun... Thanks mom...

Spending Christmas with my family. My sister and mom work for several days working on building it. You should have seen the kid's faces when we took off the sheet that was covering it. In the kichen comes a stove complet with pots and pans, sink, and a frigerator. I had such a wonderful time with the kids...

Thinking on things past. This past year has been Interesting to say the least. The year went great really it just came down to the last few months that have been tough. My time in the states started with a Great Uncle dying, my grandpa having his gallbladder out at age 83, one Uncle calling that had cancer, two other huge sicknesses for Aunts, and my father just having knee surgery. To say the least it has been tough to the point of real emotional strain for me. From there I went back to Honduras for five weeks until the week of Thanksgiving. I can honestly say that those weeks were the hardest of the year. Now I am back in the states until Christmas is over. The biggest thing now is waiting to hear how the graduation of five of our students go. My heart is torn for i need and want to be here with my family, however I also want and need to be in Honduras. It will be a hard time with the holidays, Please pray for me and my family in this time of strife.

this fine day in Oct. celebrating the harvest... hahaha don't we look great?...

This is my generation with our Great Grandma Bible. My great Uncle Linzie passed away at the reunion. It was a huge blow to our family for Linzie was the favorite of many. Uncle Linzie was the one that would love on you and then turn around and tell you what you needed to fix in your life. The family who didn't know him that well never really liked him, because they did not see that he was doing it in love but that he was just being nosey.. The only thing that made the time pass smoothly was the fact that we know without a doubt that Uncle Linzie is now with God... We love you uncle Linzie and you will be greatly missed.

Well as you can see here ¨we are all getting a little older¨. One bright Sunday afternoon we were getting ready to have youth. We had a skit about missed opportunities. Each one of the ¨old¨ people here had a story about how they had made a choice at one point in their lives and because of that choice they had missed a great opportunity. One was getting pregnant; another was partying one night instead of studying for a huge entrance exam for college and scoring horrible and not getting in. The last was drinking and driving, basically how one bad choice could change everyone’s lives. In the photo (me, Pam, Jim Taylor, Natalie).

Here we are taking a breather from teams and work. Here sitting to my right is a great family and marital counselor Steve Seward. Here he is teaching Couples Communication. There were four couples in attendance. The program is made so that these three would take the program back and lead the seminars in their local church. Other then that we also went about six hours away from the city into a mountains region mixed cement to put a floor into a house there. The indigenes people there are the Pame. There are still villages around there that only speak the language of Pame and do not speak Spanish. There are over two hundred and fifty four languages spoken in Mexico, and Spanish is only one of them.

Teaching a new game to all of the kids called stand off. Monta Verde de Opalaca.

Saterday 28th of January. Monta Verde we held our monthly Pastors confrence. The topics covered were; Your daily time with God, forgiveness, and just general incouragement. It is always neat to see the new Christains just eating up any scripture and Godly principles. Sometimes I look at them and think of some of the things that i have known for so long but they are learning it for the first time. It makes me and the sprit in me so happy and glad. I really can’t express it in words.. Well lets see the Pastor(left side of pic with the goatee) knew me when I was only 2 or 3 and I met him once about four years ago and that was just for like one min. I really had no clue what he looked like. He walked right by me and didn't see me. I thought "that guy looks like Paul" so I spoke up and said Paul and he turned around and was like Jimmie hi there... Well after about an hour of driving he says "you know I really feel like I'm with your dad." So then I became the three guys little brother. We all cracked up most of the time.. (you know me) well so we went from San Pedro Sula which is three hours away from where I live. To a beach town only an hour any from San Pedro. From there the next day to the farm however it's four hours from Tela (the beach town).. Then from there to another little town an hour and a half away called Gracias. From there back to San Pedro which is another three hours.. Needless to say I was dead from all of the driving.. But it was all fun. The Paul is very founded in the word. So we had several theological talks... It was awesome!!! The picture is of this group with two workers from Compassion International.

Soccer A.K.A. futbol team.

Yea so you are all thinking right now Jimmie playing soccer yea right I don’t think so. The answer is yes, I am helping to run practices and training. The girl on the far right is Pam she went to the University of Arkansas on a scholarship for soccer. Really she has started the team however, with the really strong machismo here it is also needed for a man to be there (To deal with some of the boys). I am now the new assistant coach!?! I am running drills and also doing all of the workout stuff with the guys. Ouch! It really has become a great avenue into the lives of some of our students. They are checking with me on practices and how to train better among other things. For me it is a great time of strengthening relationships with the guys. There has been lots of sickness going around; from pneumonia to bad colds, the flu to infections and parasites.

Mt 4:23 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.
Mt 4:24 News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them.
Mt 4:25 Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.

Sickness has been bad for the beginning of the year. It started with a little baby that was only six months old. This baby had Pneumonia this past July so at the start of cough, fever, or cold she really needs to be seen by a doctor. From there it went to a woman who had polyps in her uterus. Then to a girl named Nelly she is on the right of the picture. Nelly was a different story all together. She had a bad infection in her intestines and a heck of a lot of parasites. The doctor said that had we not taken her in that within a few days she would have been died. This last is a very common problem here. The people who live outside of town do not have good training on basic life skills. Thus they get treated every six months to a year for parasites. Please pray that God would provide someone with the right skills to accomplish the training of these people.

We now have a student that has graduated from sowing school. Here Belky and I are at the celebration party eating dinner. The Student is named Xiomara and she graduated and is now starting a seamstress shop. Had lots of fun there was cake. Well Xiomara has two little sisters they thought it would be fun to smear icing on my face so thus begins the war! It was a blast. Here at graduations there are normally people that stand in as well it's like god parents. So I was one and Natalie was the other for Xiomara. We had to sign a book stating that we were witnesses to her graduating. It was interesting to go to several graduations this past Nov. and Dec.

As I am sitting here this thanksgiving, thinking on Thanksgivings past. I miss the loved ones that have passed on. I am here with one family however my family by blood are in the states getting ready for the big feast. I am here in Honduras getting a small dinner ready for my family here. Yes I miss my family greatly, I miss sitting down with all of the cousins and finding out what has happened in the past year. loving on Grandparents, Parents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Sisters, Brothers, and most of all Nephews and Nieces. I miss the family trying to figure out who has the best Thanksgiving dish. I miss the loved ones that are not here anymore. However the questions is, if I miss all of these things and are thankful for them. How much more should I be thankful for the things of God? Yes, God gave me my family and the heart to feel and I know these things are from God. In this Holiday season we all need to stop and think not only on the earthly things but on the heavenly as well. To be truly thankful.

Col 3:1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
Col 3:2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.
Col 3:3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

What is Thankful? A conscious of benefit received
In this definition we find that it is a conscious thing. That means that we have to think to be thankful. In this Holiday season we all need to stop and think not only on the earthly things but on the heavenly as well. To be truly thankful.

With all the love in my heart,
Jimmie

I had the opportunity to go to a town Gracias, Limpira. It is tradition here to push the birthday person into the cake. As you can see here she got the cake. The family that she is staying with had the party. They asked me and one of the teachers from the school to do the honors "pushing her head in." Well most of you know me, and that I want to stay with the traditions. You know "when in Rome, do as the Romans." So I did... She did get me back, well just a little... We are in 2 Co.

2Co 5:11 We know what it means to have respect for the Lord. So we try to help other people to understand it.
What we are is plain to God. I hope it is also plain to your way of thinking.
2Co 5:12 We are not trying to make an appeal to you again. But we are giving you a chance to take pride in us. Then you can answer those who take pride in how people look rather than in what is really in their hearts.
2Co 5:13 Are we out of our minds? That is because we want to serve God. Does what we say make sense? That is because we want to serve you.
2Co 5:14 Christ’s love controls us. We are sure that one person died for everyone. And so everyone died.
2Co 5:15 Christ died for everyone. He died so that those who live should not live for themselves anymore. They should live for Christ. He died for them and was raised again.
2Co 5:16 So from now on we don’t look at anyone the way the world does. At one time we looked at Christ in that way. But we don’t anymore.
2Co 5:17 Anyone who believes in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone! The new has come!
2Co 5:18 It is all from God. He brought us back to himself through Christ’s death on the cross. And he has given us the task of bringing others back to him through Christ.
2Co 5:19 God was bringing the world back to himself through Christ. He did not hold people’s sins against them. God has trusted us with the message that people may be brought back to him.
2Co 5:20 So we are Christ’s official messengers. It is as if God were making his appeal through us. Here is what Christ wants us to beg you to do. Come back to God!
2Co 5:21 Christ didn’t have any sin. But God made him become sin for us. So we can be made right with God because of what Christ has done for us.
2Co 6:1 We work together with God. So we are asking you not to receive God’s grace and then do nothing with it.
2Co 6:2 He says,
"When I showed you my favor, I heard you.
On the day I saved you, I helped you." (Isaiah 49:8)
I tell you, now is the time God shows his favor. Now is the day he saves.

What is walking "in Christ"? Dieing to flesh daily, hourly and we have soltes in the fact that if we are not that God and Christ are always there.

In light of this what does this other part in Corinthians mean?

2Co 1:12 Here is what we take pride in. Our sense of what is right and wrong gives witness that we have acted in God’s holy and honest ways. That is how we live in the world. We live that way most of all when we are dealing with you. Our way of living is not wise in the eyes of the world. But it is in keeping with God’s grace.
2Co 1:13 We are writing only what you can read and understand. And here is what I hope.
2Co 1:14 Up to this point you have understood some of the things we have said. But now I hope that someday you will be able to take pride in us, just as we will take pride in you on the day the Lord Jesus returns. When you are able to do that, you will understand us completely.

So we can take pride in each other for the works of God. So take Pride in the things that are acomplished for the Glory of God not only here but everywhere!!!

So that you know God Loves you!!! I am nothing… I only think of how much God really is to me. How God is LOVE and that LOVE is the only thing I really can show and teach.

1CO 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

1CO 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, 6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

1CO 13:8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part; 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.

What is nothing? Nothing is the absence of something.

So that is what I am. How is this? I sit here and think of all the precious time I have spent with God and can only think of one thing: How much God LOVES me, plus ALL of those around me. The all encompassing totally overwhelming love that God is. This is the only cry of my heart is to see those around me to know that and how much God loves them. With this in mind I am here continuing to Love.

One of our Interns Rob and I took one of the small groups on a weekend of fun it the sun.

News from down south.

Right after I first got back we took a trip through the palm trees by Tela (a beach town). Henry and I drove for two hours bouncing around like we were on a trampoline on these dirt roads that had more craters then the moon. Going over bridges made or rail road ties, and thinking that (Jesus help us not fall.) Then we come to this place that the road looks like it goes onto a train trestle (bridge for trains). We finally get to a fence and I think great not much farther but wait it's about thirty more min. Then we get out and walk for five min. I find that I am looking at a house across this RIVER "now were the river came from I really don't know Henry walks down and yells "were here." So a man comes out of his house and climbs down to a boat and paddles over picks us up. The whole reason of going was to pick up this girl with a clubbed foot. Someone had come down and seen her. He wanted to help her and found a group who would pay to try and fix her foot. So we were to pick her and maybe her mom but what not we ended taking about six people with us well this was all on a Sunday the next day was the appointment. It was a blessing to go to their house. It really was humbling to be there in the house and that area of the country. To see distances that are walked everyday is astounding.

When I returned home (to Honduras) this year there was an intern here named Rob. He had already started what God had been telling me to do. Which are different small groups with all of the young men. As starting the rest of the small groups God showed me that these youth are ready to be discipled, ready to walk closer and learn more of God. One of the guys came to me one day and said Jimmie I want to learn more of God. He was speaking from several of the young men. We set the start date and have been going since then. We are using the book Wild at Heart if any of you men have not read it I strongly suggest reading it. There are many things that the book talks about. One of these is a wound. As I sat there listening to the wounds that the boys were sharing, it continues to break my heart for them. You know that we all have wounds. The strongest of these are usually as men, done by our fathers. Without realizing and dealing with them we will in a lot of since become our fathers. The things that as boys or young men made us mad, sad or drove us crazy. We as men and fathers will start doing. A lot of these young men have been through abuse verbal, mental, and even some physical. Watching the boys realize what was going on in there lives is wonderful because they are opened up to God and I have made it a point that after each of these wounds were shared to stop right then and pray. There are so many stories to tell about this there is no way to know witch one, or to know were to start. Please remember all of our students and staff in your prayers to know what to do and how to handle every decision. If there were any book right now that I would suggest then it would be this book Wild at Heart.

Right now we are in a chapter that talks about your name, your true name. I find it very fascinating that the names that are parents "pick." Really is who we, not only become but that these "names" really define who we are down to the core. Finding and going over the names of our students, it not only shows me who and what they are but sometimes how to minister or share with them. Here are a few of our students; the strength and power of God, God is my judge, the prince, God's slave, the worker of the earth, God is with us, the protector and defender of man. Isn't this great and in each one of these Youth I see these things coming out of them. This pic. is two our my small groups.

Hello guys
